Executive Programs Leadership Effectiveness Program (LEP)

 

The Leadership Effectiveness Program experience leads executives on a journey of self-discovery. Executives gain a deep understanding of their strengths and weaknesses, values, preferences, behaviors, personality and interactive style. The program is founded in a developmental approach to effective leadership. Participants will come away from the program with a new found ability to:

Program

Phase One: Getting Started

  • Preprogram interview focused on the executive’s current goals and objectives.
  • The executive completes a battery of standardized assessment instruments.
  • Superiors, peers, and subordinates complete standardized managerial and leadership effectiveness instruments that focus on executive’s leadership style.

Phase Two: In Vivo Assessment

  • The executive is shadowed by a PPCG professional staff member for an entire business day.
  • Face-to-face, confidential interviews are conducted with the executives, superiors, peers, and subordinates around perceptions of performance and leadership style.

Phase Three: Feedback and Goal Setting

  • After Phase One and Two are completed, the results are compiled and analyzed.
  • The executive meets with PPCG staff for a half-day feedback session to explore the data and identify themes and patterns.
  • The executive discovers a new understanding of self and derives new meaning with respect to their leadership effectiveness.
  • The executive is assisted in developing a detailed, personalized action plan based on the insights derived during the feedback session. A time task line is developed and relevant implementation strategies are discussed.

Phase Four: Coaching Sessions

  • The executive begins implementation of the developmental plan. PPCG staff assists the executive in a process of continuous revision through evaluation of outcomes and continuing assessment. PPCG staff guide this process through coaching face-to-face and/or telephone contact.
